Annie Olivia (14 yo) arrived at the Sanctuary in October 2019. Her new Momma happened to be at the local county shelter the day Annie was surrendered and it was love at first sight! Once the stray hold was over, she was scooped up by her Momma and brought to her new home. While this beauty has some skin issues and has had a few too many litters of puppies, she has a beautiful personality and has proven to be extremely gentle, loyal and smart. It is wonderful to have her in the Pack where she can now enjoy her golden years!
Frida Ann (est. 13 yo) joined The Pack the very same day as Zoe Zo (April 2021). Frida arrived traumatized. Her owner had unexpectedly passed away and Frida found herself (and her kitty companion) left at the local county shelter. Frida suffers from congestive heart failure and is very timid. She is given as much space as she needs to feel comfortable and happy with us. As we understand, Frida's kitty friend was also adopted from the county shelter.
Ollie Mac (est. 11 yo) arrived at the Sanctuary in May 2021. Found dumped over the backyard fence of a home near our home. Registered as a stray with the county, no owner came forward and Ollie Mac was released to our sanctuary.
Ollie is a very friendly little guy and, despite how he arrived, is quite healthy. Understanding Ollie was adoptable - we patiently waited for the right family to come along to adopt Ollie and they did! In November 2021, Ollie Mac was adopted and now lives in The Villages! He will always be an honorary member of our Pack.
Dutton (est. 13 yo) arrived at the Sanctuary in November 2021. Found as a stray, Dutton had urine burns on his belly from the urine soaked diaper he was found in. Named after his Momma’s favorite television show, Yellowstone, Dutton is FEARLESS! This little guy’s medical conditions include a heart murmur, a knee that pop out with every step he takes and he’s missing an eye. His pain is carefully managed but despite all of this – Dutton is a delight to have in our Pack!
Lucky doesn't come close to describing how we feel having Tyson in our Pack. Estimated to be 8 to 10 years old, Tyson joined the Sanctuary in December 2021 following a horrific year in a rescue where dogs were neglected, abused...or worse.
The cause of Tyson's mobility issues is unknown but we suspect he was hit by a car and his finder never sought treatment. Tyson LOVES being in his wheelchair and zooming around the property. Whether he is in his chair or not, Tyson is never far from his Momma!
In August 2022, we welcomed Tessa to our home. This senior box-mix was found by utility workers working in a nearby county. Her owner was homeless and agreed to surrender Tessa to the shelter. Our girl had a baseball size mass on her head and neck which was eventually removed. It was confirmed that the mass was cancer.
Tessa loves attention and is eager to please her Momma. She also enjoys playing with Brinks, a resident dog, and youngest dog in the house.
In October 2022, we asked the Universe and it DELIVERED! While visiting local county shelter, we just knew our next Pack member would be tiny and pretty much a cotton ball with legs. It was about one week later that Tilly was found as a stray and brought into the shelter.
Tilly has the BEST personality! She is funny, friendly and VERY loving. Overall, this little lady is in generally good health. She has 2 or 3 teeth left in her mouth, aging eyes and a very low grade heart murmur.
Come back soon and meet Mackie!
In order - Brooks, Boone and Brady joined our sanctuary is December 2022. These three boys found themselves surrendered to our local county shelter after their owner passed away. Boone and Brooks are sanctuary residents and Brady is living the dream in his permanent foster home where he is treated like a king.
The health of the B-Boys is fairly good. All three desperately needed dentals (which they got) and Brooks has been diagnosed with Cushing's Disease which is being managed with medication.
We are extremely happy we could save all three boys just before Christmas with the help of our community.
